MAIN THEME:
As Christians we should seek to maintain a heart of gratitude by being constantly aware of what God has done and what God is doing in our lives.
Sovereignty:
- supreme power or authority
- freedom from external control
- controlling influence
Sovereignty of God:
God is in control of all things as the supreme power and authority and He exercises His power and authority according to His own divine and perfect will.
- The word of the Lord is right because God is sovereign over creation. (vv. 4a, 6-9)
- The work of the Lord is trustworthy because God is sovereign over all nations. (vs.4b, 10-12)
- The righteousness, justice, and love of the Lord is displayed in God’s sovereignty over mankind. (vs.5, 13-19)
- The righteous ones rejoice with gratitude because God is sovereign over all. (20-22)
